Development Guild DDI Announces New President and Chief Operating Officer
Development Guild is proud to announce the appointment of Victoria Jones as President and Deborah Brown as Chief Operating Officer.
“I am delighted to share that Victoria Jones is Development Guild DDI’s new President,” said Suzanne Weber, Chief Executive Officer. “Victoria’s new role along with the promotion of Deborah Brown to Chief Operating Officer will drive our continuous evolution as trusted, innovative partners to nonprofit leaders. Victoria and Deb’s deep talent and experience paired with their passion for our clients and our people make them uniquely suited for these new leadership roles.”
Victoria joined Development Guild 20 years ago and has served as our Executive Vice President for the past 7 years. Victoria’s consulting is noted for the transformative campaigns and fundraising programs she designs, and the visionary leaders and talented staff she recruits for our nonprofit clients. Her commitment to employing evidence-based models of return on investment, goals and projections, staffing, and business plans has exponentially changed the capacity of our clients. Victoria will be the second President in the firm’s history, succeeding our Co-Founder William Weber, who is taking on a new role.
Deb joined Development Guild 20 years ago and has served as our Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration for the past 8 years. Deb’s ability to innovate and refine systems has been core to our firm’s continued growth. As the first Chief Operating Officer in our history, she will continue to bring her financial and administrative expertise to bear on the operational success of our firm.
“I would like to wish a heartfelt congratulations to my colleagues Victoria Jones and Deborah Brown as they assume their new roles,” said William Weber. “I am deeply confident in them both and in Development Guild’s future, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside them. Victoria and Deb share a commitment to our clients, our staff, our mission, and to the excellence that is a hallmark of our firm.”
Victoria and Deb assume their new roles at a time of substantial growth for our firm. We opened our doors 40 years ago as a three-person company with a deep regional presence in the Northeast. Today, our staff of 40+ consult to nonprofit leaders in every sector and across the country, from our offices in Boston and New York. As experts in executive search and fundraising, we remain committed to delivering best practice in these services and to providing solutions that are highly strategic and deeply rooted in experience and analysis.
Says Victoria, “As leadership and philanthropy become increasingly pivotal to the delivery of mission, Development Guild will continue to create bolder and stronger models of practice. This will drive our services and underscore our partnerships. We measure our success by that of our clients; when they thrive, we thrive.”
