Lieutenant General (Ret) William C. Mayville, Jr. Joins Korn Ferry, Bolstering Firm's Cyber Security Expertise
Korn Ferry (NYSE: KFY) announced that Lieutenant General (ret) William C. Mayville, Jr, a leader in U.S. national security cyber capabilities, former Director of Operations for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and former Vice Commander, US Cyber Command, has joined the firm in the Cyber Security Practice. In this role, LTG Mayville will bring his vast, battle-tested experience to Korn Ferry’s global clients.
The prevalence and intensity of cyber-attacks have created substantial security and financial risk to global organizations. The consequences have never been more critical, and organizations are increasingly looking to arm themselves with the right talent, leaders and expertise to defend the front lines of cyber and information security.

Most recently, LTG Mayville served as the Vice Commander, US Cyber Command, where he supervised the expansion of the nation’s newest combatant command, the growth of a 6,200 cyber security workforce, and a $230M research and acquisition enterprise to improve U.S. national security cyber capabilities. Additionally, he directed contingency planning for cyber security forces and oversaw cyber security operations to safeguard DOD activities worldwide. LTG Mayville graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1982, and served in the US Army for thirty-six years, retiring as Lieutenant General. He has master’s degrees from Georgia Tech and the Naval War College. He completed Executive Development programs at Harvard’s JFK School of Government and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
