Renault Renews its Partnership With Korn Ferry Futurestep
The Futurestep division of Korn Ferry, has announced the renewal of its contract with Renault to help manage its recruitment of professional hires in France.
Renault, international automobile manufacturer with French roots, sold in 2015 more than 2.8 million vehicles in 125 countries. Today, it boasts more than 120,000 employees and 36 manufacturing sites.
In response to the success of its latest models in France and Europe, and to prepare for future growth, Renault France chose Futurestep to help it hire more than 300 professional hires out of the 1000 open roles in the Group by the end of 2016. Roles covered by Futurestep include purchasing, engineering, design and manufacturing – all of which require specific skills and expertise. These functions rely heavily on new technologies, which are key in the development of the connected vehicle, the autonomous vehicle, as well as in the pursuit of the zero emissions strategy, for which the Renault Group is a pioneer.
To meet the ambitions of the Renault Group, Futurestep has developed a personalised approach that leverages Renault’s tools and resources. On top of this, Futurestep deployed a team of specialised consultants to focus on the project.
The team was trained on Renault’s assessment tools, which are an integral part of the recruitment process. A focused sourcing strategy was developed to identify and find niche skills and new competencies required to design the cars of tomorrow. This captures the best profiles in accordance with the diversity criteria defined by the group. Recruitment days targeting certain types of positions will be organised to optimise the time Renault managers are involved in the recruitment process, ultimately reducing time to hire.
