MERC Partners: The Irish Executive Abroad Report

In a new report from MERC Partners conducted by Amárach Research, they revealed that while many executives left Ireland during the recession in search of more career opportunities, 3/4 of them look to return in the future, with 1/5 searching for jobs weekly.

Here are some other findings from the report:

• Of those wishing to return by 2028, a large number of respondents have children under 18.
• The key barriers to returning home are high personal taxation, concerns about investment in healthcare services, infrastructure issues and scarce housing supply.
• 45% of respondents based in the UK are more likely to return to Ireland because of Brexit.
