Korn Ferry: Singapore's New Workforce Training Initiative

The aim of SkillsFuture is to keep Singapore’s workforce learning in an effort to grow its economy. Under this initiative, funding will be provided to career guidance for students, internships, and mid-career learning programs. SkillsFuture will also offer a $500 credit to any citizen over 25 for use on education or career development training.

Distefano points out that, with the rise of automation, Singapore’s economy is under threat. This initiative, therefore, will help Singapore to arm its citizens with the learning agility and knowledge needed to succeed in this time of digital transformation.
