Korn Ferry: Evaluating Digital Sustainability Among Sectors

In a meta-study commissioned by Korn Ferry and conducted by Oxford Analytica and the Korn Ferry Institute, it was found that the Financial Services is ahead of every other sector when it comes to digital sustainability. Defined by this article as “the capacity of organizations to continually transform to respond to digital change,” digital sustainability is critical to all organizations in order to thrive in today’s always moving, tech-based world. In this study, the Financial Services industry received a digital sustainability score of 73/100, which outperforms even the Technology industry.

To determine each industry’s score, almost 400 companies in 5 industries and from 14 countries were evaluated based on data in the following areas:

• Agility
• Connectivity
• Openness and Transparency
• Empowerment and Alignment Variables
• Discipline and Focus
