Sheffield Haworth Welcomes Two New Managing Directors and Head of US Operations to Team

Sheffield Haworth is delighted to announce the appointment of two new Managing Directors and a Head of US Operations.

Sonjay Vishnupad, has joined as Managing Director, Corporate Officers Practice in New York. The Corporate Officers practice is responsible for supporting a range of clients including investment banks, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds and custodians in their talent needs across risk management, compliance, legal, operations and finance functions in the USA and Canada.

Prior to Sheffield Haworth, Sonjay spent almost 20 years working for a competitor global financial recruitment firm where, as a Managing Director, he ran risk management and quantitative recruiting across North America and Canada. Before that, Sonjay worked as an Analyst at UBS and at Ernst & Young within the Real Estate division. He holds a BS degree in Finance from New York University.

In addition to Sonjay’s appointment, Penny Bushell has joined as Head of US Operations based in the New York office. Penny joins Sheffield Haworth to support and streamline operations in the US as the business looks to expand further. Most recently, Bushell was VP, Head of US Corporate Services, at the UK-based hedge fund Winton Capital. Prior to that, Penny was Operations Manager for the US at Alpinvest Partners until its acquisition in 2012 by Carlyle, where she was Administration Manager. She has also held roles at advisory and restructuring boutique Miller Buckfire and Spruce Investment Advisors, Stamford.

Commenting on the appointments in the US office Julian Bell, Regional Managing Director for the Americas, said, “We’re very excited to have Sonjay and Penny join the team. In the London Office, the Consulting Solutions Practice has further grown, welcoming Ben Johnson to the team. Ben joins as Managing Director to grow the Insurance Practice at Sheffield Haworth, bringing with him over 12 years’ experience in the sector and broadening the firm’s offering across Financial Services. Prior to joining Sheffield Haworth, Ben was at Interim Partners, where he built up a superb track record of placing Executive Interims and Consultants at C-Suite level across some of the biggest names in the insurance sector.

The latest hire in the Consulting Solutions Practice increases the depth of offering to clients and makes them one of the largest teams sourcing independent consultants across Financial Services, Business & Professional Services and the Technology and Digital sectors.
