Stanton Chase Appoints Senior Search Consultant
Ian MacNeil, a prominent Bay Area executive, has been named a Senior Consultant at the San Francisco and Wine Country offices of Stanton Chase.
The announcement was made by Paul Herrerias, Managing Director of the San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Wine Country offices.
With more than 25 years in the consumer industry, including wines, vineyards and hospitality, he brings a large network and understanding of career and business success, leadership, operations, finances, and sales. MacNeil’s expertise in the wine industry also includes global product sourcing, importing, and direct-to-consumer marketing.
A native of California, MacNeil has led large employee groups through new business start-ups, aggressive corporate expansions, and challenging downsizing events. He created the Hospitality Management Program at Napa Valley College, and he continues to teach students at the college level, both nationally and globally. His work was formally recognized by the Great Wine Capitals Global Network in Bordeaux, France in 2009.
MacNeil holds a MBA from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts and Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge. He currently teaches in the Viticulture & Enology, Science and Technology Alliance (VESTA) program hosted at Sonoma State University and is a Certified Hospitality Educator. He serves on a number of regional wine industry advisory educational boards in both Sonoma and Napa Valleys.
