Korn Ferry: How Digital Devices Hurt One's Leadership Abilities
In this article, Korn Ferry regular contributor Daniel Goleman discusses how being too dependent on your smartphone can take away from your leadership skills. Citing multiple studies on the drawbacks of mobile devices, such as reducing one’s cognitive capacity, Goleman explains that depending too much on mobile phones can lesson one’s ability to function in the real world. Goleman discusses how practicing meditation can help combat the lack of focus that phones can create and, therefore, help to build the essential leadership skill of mindfulness.
